So the year is now 2022, it has been over three years since my last update on Peter.
The last time I put pen to paper Peter had become a Director of ‘Hope for Heroes’ a charity lead company with a ‘not for profits’ turnover. In a just one year Peter turned the fledgling company into a thriving business, which included two retail shops, a house clearance company, an F.A. registered football club and a radio station.

Whilst on one of his familiar far flung holidays in South America, Covid hit the UK and was spreading around the world at a rapid rate of knots.

Whilst on the Falkland Islands he heard of the first Covid case on the ship. This quickly spread, confining everyone to their rooms. Within days people were dying on the ship and the ship itself was turned away from Argentina, Uruguay and Brazil leading to another six thousand mile journey to Miami to disembark.

Peter caught Covid on the final days of his travels, bringing it home with him so requiring hospital treatment. During that time he arranged his funeral and music to accompany his passing.
After a tough week which saw him gasping for breath and frightened to go to sleep, he started to recover. A stone and a half lighter, Peter was now on the road to recovery.

The year of 2021 was a devastating year for Peter as Covid forced the closure of his retail shops. Covid restrictions put paid to the house clearance arm of the business, as it was with the radio station and the football team.|

It was now near Christmas 2020 and his business partner, Rick Andrews became unwell and passed away 4/1/21

It is now spring/summer 2021 when Peter is approached by a music event company to head up music events in Manchester. Whilst making the most of his contacts in and around Manchester, Peter is approached again to put on a car event at a local pub which gained a lot of local interest and became a financially beneficial event for the pub and the good causes it represented.

It was soon after this successful pub car show Peter had a ‘Eureka Moment’ – why not put a combination of cars and music together on a large scale?

After spending days on the phone trying to secure a suitable site, he hit gold with a venue in Cheshire’s finest green belt area – Ashley Hall. The very place the hit series ‘Peaky Blinders’ was filmed.

Within a few weeks the venue was booked and secured sponsorship deals were struck. Headline acts were booked and the huge logistical infrastructure put such a large event together is ongoing.

On speaking to Peter you cannot help but be impressed by his drive and vision, not just for making a successful business plan, but the enthusiasm to put a smile on people’s faces.

Peter lost a good friend and business partner last yea, as mentioned previously. He also lost his dog, Toby, which was very painful for him. Although in the same vein he also lost/sold three other things he would class as his family.

In one week of frantic selling saw the sale of his Motorhome, Bentley W12 GTC and his stunning McLaren MP12. Typical of Peter, his garage did not stay empty for long as he bough an Italian stunner in the form of a fabulous Maserati Gran Cabris, as shown in the gallery.
